Alice checks her orders, buys a chair, and the shop's manager runs a sales report. We follow each request from the browser to the server, into the database's tables, and back.
The shop has three tables: customers, products and orders. The SQL is real and the numbers add up; the server code is Python-flavoured pseudocode.
